Traditional potato chips are not recommended for people watching their weight. This snack can also be made from other vegetables, such as eggplant, or even some fruit. Besides being healthier, potato chips will also delight you with their original taste! See how to prepare homemade eggplant chips and why you should try them.
First, wash the eggplants thoroughly under running water and then cut them into thin slices. Mix salt, smoked paprika or salt and rosemary (or other herbs you like) in a bowl. Then pour the sparkling water into the bowl. Put the sliced eggplant slices into it so that they are all completely covered. Leave them for about 20 minutes and then carefully drain them. Then pour olive oil in the frying pan and heat it over medium heat. In the meantime, coat the chips in flour. When the oil is hot, fry the eggplants until golden brown. Set the fried vegetable slices aside on a paper towel to drain off the excess fat. Finally, place all the finished chips on a plate, sprinkle with salt and serve with your favorite sauce. Garlic sauce, tartar sauce or tomato salsa will work great here.

Try, for example, chips made from root vegetables such as carrots, parsley, celery or beets. The preparation method is very similar to that of eggplant chips. It is only worth remembering about the proper order of frying, depending on the softness of vegetables (start with parsley or celery, then throw in the oil carrots, and finally beetroot slices)
Another, very original proposal are kale chips. To prepare them you will only need an oven, 100 g of prepackaged kale, salt and 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Just preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius, wash the kale and put it in a bowl (without hard stems). Season it with salt and olive oil, then place it on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake for 10 minutes on the top shelf of the oven.
